Xcaret Info

Xcaret is a water park, theme park, amusement park, eco-archaeological park all rolled into one. Due to its unique location in the Mayan jungle among underground rivers, cenotes and facing the Caribbean Sea, Xcaret has boasts some impressive scenery which you get to enjoy between the more than 50 different activities this mega-park hosts. Not only will you find more activities that celebrates Mexico's present and rich past, a country known for its traditions, culture and folklore.

Water Enthusiasts:

For those of you who are visiting the Riviera Maya to spend time in our beautiful turquoise tropical water. Xcaret boasts guided and unguided snorkeling in the ocean and through underground rivers, a beach area with hammocks, beach chairs and tables, a lagoon and small natural seawater pools. For the little ones, "Children's World" offers shallow cenotes and wading pools which have been modified to make them both safe, exciting and fun.

Nature Lovers:

The park is home to a coral reef aquarium and a sea turtle sanctuary which cares for animals who would otherwise not be able to survive out in the wild. You can also learn more about regional flora and fauna at the butterfly garden, the aviary, the rainforest trail, and the living orchid and bromeliad museum. Additionally, in different sections of the park you will find jaguars, manatees, flamingos, spider monkeys, saraguato, bats, deer and tapirs.

Cultural Adventures:

In the park you can also enjoy a traditional Papantla Flyers [sic] ceremony which, in short, is a mixture of rain dancing and bungee jumping. Furthermore, a demonstration of Mexico's national sport, charrería, is given each afternoon and is a fantastic display of equestrian showmanship. Pre-Hispanic dances are presented in the Mayan Village which is in a small valley where you can actually feel the drums echo through your body. And don't forget the Mexican Folk Art Museum, the "Bridge to Paradise" Mexican cemetery and the Hacienda Henequenera which are all open throughout the day.

As the sun sets, grab a seat for Xcaret's Mexico Spectacular Performance. Enjoy a colorful party, experience the fascinating history of Mexican folklore told by more than 300 artists, including live musicians, singers, and traditional dance

You'll be picked up between 6:15am and 8am depending on the location of your hotel or AirBnB. We'll aim to have you soon after the park opens at 9am so you have the entire day to Xplor the park unit it closes at 5pm.
